I had been wanting to try Danville Wood Fired Pizza ever since my family and I spotted it during a walk on the Iron Horse Trail nearby. I finally had the chance to visit on a quiet Wednesday night with my mother and girlfriend. The restaurant, which is very intimate, features a bar and tables surrounding an island where pizzas are made and put into the oven, making it the focal point of the space. It was enjoyable to watch everything happening right in front of us as our pizzas were prepared fresh. We had heard great things about this place and had our eyes set on the Neapolitan Margherita and the house made sausage pizza. The service was good, and our pizzas came out hot and ready, only needing about 90 seconds in the oven. The pizzas had a soft, chewy center, and I particularly enjoyed the sauce of the Neapolitan Margherita as well as the crust of each pie. We were pleased with the quality of our pizzas and felt that our expectations lived up to the restaurant's excellent reputation. We're happy to know we have a great option for delicious wood fired Neapolitan pizza when the craving hits!

Took over from Provence Pizza. Good service and atmosphere. Menu similar to Provence as well. Looks like they might have inherited the recipes. However the execution wasn't as good. Flavors just didn't pop the same. Kids had cheese and pepperoni. I had the chicken calzone. Prices fair. Overall it was good just a slight step down from it's predecessor

The best pizza in Danville. I've been wanting to try this place and it was more than I expected. The pizza crust was crunchy and chewy. Don't let the lack of customers sitting outside fool you. The pizza is worth trying!
